The founding beta
Roomy is provided during a founding beta, free of charge, with no guarantee of uptime, feature stability, or continued availability of any specific view or capability. Software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
What Roomy does to your files
Roomy reads filesystem metadata (names, sizes, dates, types) to build its views. Roomy does not delete files on its own. Any removal happens only after you explicitly review and confirm it, and uses the Recycle Bin where the operating system supports it. You are responsible for reviewing what you stage before confirming removal.
Roomy Guide
Roomy Guide is not part of the launch build; it is coming later. If you later enable it, a limited set of metadata about a selected item (not file contents, by default) is sent to a third-party cloud provider to generate an explanation. Guide's output is informational — it may be wrong or uncertain, and it never authorizes or performs deletion. You remain responsible for any action you take based on Guide's output.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Roomy to scan or act on systems you don't have the right to access.
- Don't attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse the Roomy Guide service in a way that degrades it for others.
- Don't redistribute the application in modified form under the Roomy name.
Payments (future)
The founding beta is free. If a paid Roomy Lifetime upgrade or Roomy Guide subscription launches, payment will be processed by Stripe, and separate, specific terms covering billing, refunds, and cancellation will be published before any charge occurs. Prices referenced anywhere in current product or marketing materials are hypotheses under evaluation, not commitments.
Changes
Because this is a beta product, these terms may change as features ship. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
